04/20/2012 - And all the world will soon be set aglow...

We have been spending all of our available free time hard at work in the studio tracking a new album!! At this point the we're about 95% finished recording, so it'll soon be getting sent off to my Ra band-mate, Sahaj Ticotin, for him to work his snazzy mixing skillz on it! Once we have the album all mixed and ready to go we'll start working on things like a release date and release parties!!! More info will be coming soon...but for now we are sticking to the grind!

03/28/2012 - Interview with Jaime Vendera

One of my best friends in the world, Jaime Vendera also happens to be one of the best vocal coaches in the world. One day a few years ago I asked him if he had any killer students because I was looking to put together a new project and I needed a great vocalist. 03/10/2012 - Happy Birthday to The Hollow Glow!

Happy Birthday to The Hollow Glow! 3 years ago today I named this project The Hollow Glow...there wasn't a band, a direction, or even a cohesive thought to The Hollow Glow, it was just a feeling I started following...and it was pretty much just me and an acoustic guitar. Over the past 3 years this project has come a long, looong ways...sometimes (usually) it seemed excruciatingly slow..and sometimes it seemed like I would never get this band launched. Finding the right musicians for this project proved to be a nearly impossible task. I ended up just recording “Out of the Darkness” & “Into the Light” myself...but The Hollow Glow was never meant to be a solo project.

In January of 2011 I met Tom Connors, former bassist of Smokebox...he & I clicked instantly. And one became two...but it then took us almost a full year to find a drummer that fit with us...another very, very frustrating experience...nobody quite had the feel or the tastefulness to their playing that we were looking for...until we met Travis Barton, who happened to be the roommate of one of Ra's past Sound Engineer/Tour Managers. Travis fit the bill perfectly...this was just over 4 months ago. Now The Hollow Glow is a band with it's own identity and direction...but still incomplete. We're still searching for a Keyboardist with strong backing vocals. But as a trio we are still strong enough to own a stage...anywhere, anytime.

In celebration of The Hollow Glow's birthday and the progress of actually becoming a real band along the way I'm lowering the price of a download of “Out of the Darkness” & “Into the Light” (through Bandcamp) to only $2.99 for a limited time. These albums will actually be retired as soon as we set a release date for the new album we currently have in the works...as a real band. There will be no need to have music that was only me... Some songs will definitely end up being re-recorded with the full band...but others will definitely go away forever.
